One of the goals of Corazón Ministries is to equip the body of believers for work and service in Hispanic and other ethnic communities (Ephesians 4: 11-13 and II Timothy 3:16-17). With this goal in mind, Corazón Ministries offers a Cross-Cultural Training Seminar. While focusing on the Hispanic culture, it helps participants view "culture" as a whole -- their own and others. This seminar teaches methods developed by Corazón Ministries, which grew out of the experiences of founders and missionaries, Mike and Claire Alameda, as they strove to reach their large traditional Mexican-American family with the message of salvation. The Lord revealed to them that traditional methods of evangelical outreach could not overcome cross-cultural barriers in reaching their community. The seminar shares information relating to the specific needs and challenges in sharing the Gospel within the English-speaking, Hispanic-American community. The topics of the seminar will include:

Corazón Ministries has presented Cross-Cultural Training Seminars to international missions agencies such as Wycliffe Bible Translators and Missions to the World. Corazón Ministries consults with pastors, lay leaders, short-term missions teams, and other ministry organizations, such as Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Tucson, to assist in their cross-cultural ministry and/or evangelism program development.

The cross-cultural training seminars allow barriers to come down and believers to have freedom to become more intimate with someone of another culture because of the body of Christ. There is freedom to ask the questions you were afraid to ask, find out the answers to the questions you've always had, be yourself, and get the training to understand culture in general.
