One of the goals of Corazón Ministries is to evangelize the Hispanic and other ethnic communities in a culturally sensitive manner. Corazón networks bothers and sisters in Christ from churches all around the city who have a heart for cross-cultural ministry. These believers are trained and equipped by Corazón to be used by God in a cross-cultural setting. (Matthew 28:18-20 and I Timothy 2:3-6) The networking of believers is important when Corazón participates in a unified evangelism effort.
During
the year, Corazón participates in special cultural events around the Tucson
area such as Mexican Independence Day and Cinco De Mayo, both held at a local
Hispanic park. These outreaches give Corazón Ministries an opportunity to
expose individuals to the Word of God by giving away English and Spanish Bibles. An
opportunity is also available to sign up for a Bible study.
Corazón
Ministries assists with the evangelistic outreaches of the established churches
in Hispanic and other ethnic communities of Tucson.
Corazón helps these local churches by canvassing the neighborhood and
promoting the events by developing and producing evangelism materials.
Neighborhood outreaches include block parties, rummage sales, vacation
Bible school, etc..
Corazón
missionaries shares the gospel message through Bible studies.
(Acts 5:42) (NAS) The
Purpose of the evangelistic Bible study is to lead people to faith in Christ
Jesus. The Bible studies are taught
to groups in the comfort of their own home.
Although couples participate in Bible studies, men and women study
separately. Once an individual
comes to faith, personal discipleship and joining a local church fellowship is
the next step.
