Construction Ministry

Construction Ministry

The construction ministry of Corazón began over 15 years ago. At that time, ethnic communities were shifting and neighborhood churches were experiencing many changes. These churches were in disrepair, in need of remodeling and cosmetic changes that would appeal to the evolving ethnic community. Corazón Ministries organized basic service projects and worked on things like:

  • Cleaning
  • Landscaping
  • Painting
  • Flooring
  • Electrical work
  • Plumbing
  • Drywall
  • Church kitchen remodel
  • Church library
  • Youth rooms
  • Childcare room

Local volunteers and teams visiting from out of town or out of state have come to co-labor with Corazón on these projects. Some projects last only a day, but others have gone for a week or longer. Before a project begins, the team will go through a day-long construction training. During a single summer, teams can work over 3,000 collective hours on construction and outreach projects. These projects give Corazón Ministries and volunteers the opportunity to come alongside pastors and their congregations and encourage them to open the doors of their church to impact Hispanic/Latino communities for Christ!
